God's will; the scratch off lottery ticket///// Micah Powers

In book 7 we see this conversation between Raphael and Adam that describes the creation story. In line 131-137, he tells Adam that Lucifer rebelled but in his rebellion It allowed for God to reveal his greater will for eternity. Further on we see God speak to Jesus about created earth and that some day heaven and earth will be one. Then he sends Jesus to go and fulfill. In line 165-169 it says, " My overshadowing spirit and might with thee I send along: ride forth and bid the deep within appointed bounds be heaven and earth! Boundless the deep because I am who fill infinitude,..." I am reminded of scripture in Genesis 1:2, "The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the spirit of God was hovering over the waters."

In this section we see God acknowledge a setback but command a new plan to further reveal his glory. That touch of revelation in line 160 just send shivers down my spine. In this section Gods Willis shown as fluid but yet decisive. Many people in America view God's will as a scratch off lottery ticket; sometimes you win sometimes you lose. The Idea of God's will being a random act of luck is so erroneous because scripture lays out His desires for us and His will so clearly. Commands in Micah 6:8, and Throughout the epistles and gospels reveal to us the simple nature of throng among his presence. If one simple goes through life and then reaches the end of the day to ask themselves, "Have I obeyed the will of God? almost always the answer to the scratch off will be loss. It requires conscious effort to be in the will of God. Line 163-164 show the immediate action required. It is spoken and then done. It is not spoken, thought about, forgotten, and then attempted but spoken and immediately enacted and so should our lives be with His will.
