Addict With a Pen -Song Whittington

Do you ever stare blankly at a computer screen knowing you need to get work done, but you just sit there as the songs on your playlist play on? One song passes. Two songs. Three, skip until another sadder song comes on. Suddenly it has almost been an hour since you opened up the Blogger website. Today was a mess, to say the least. Not in the sense that everything went wrong, more so in the sense that this one really big thing went wrong. "What's the thing that went wrong, Michael?" you may be asking.

Side note: hi! My name is Michael and I am one of the main people who front/control the body. My role is called "host" and I have probably met all of you and I just didn't tell you. Anyway, back to the blog.

Two words: physical health. You know when your computer is frozen and you have to hard shut it off to fix it? Yeah, my brain did that to my body today.

I'm going to say this now as it reaches an hour and a half since I've opened blogger: this post isn't going to be cohesive. The only thing I can think to even relate to the reading is how Wordsworth talked about nature and how I know in reality nature is really fickle and changes all the time. You never know what to expect from it and if you expect one thing well then boy are you in for a ride. And honestly, that was me today. I mean, I've been fighting this episode for probably the past two days but I really didn't expect it to hit me this hard today. Boy was I in for a ride.

Nature is fickle, Life is fickle, legit everything in this life is fickle. But ya know something? I think that makes it exciting. Something nice out of today is that my brain had literally no room to say people don't care for me because my friends were doing pretty much nothing but care for me. So, even in the darkness of the valleys or on the hard uphill of the mountain, there are little things that remind you that life is worth it, and I think that's pretty neat.

  1. Hey song,
I would have to say I completely disagree with your statement that nature is fickle. Although nature may seem that way to us on an average day, there are laws that govern it and guide it and those laws are never broken. Just like when life may seem chaotic and completely unstable, there are laws of the world all around us that we can lean on and give us a sure footing.

  2. Well I got really excited for a second because I thought this was going to be a blog closer related to the song "addict with a pen" by Twenty One Pilots but was kinda disappointed. I do think that Emmett is right nature is bound by laws. I agree that our responses to nature can be chaotic but nature in and of itself is incredibly predictable for example we know for a couple of weeks if a hurricane is coming in and we get a relatively good estimate of where it will make landfall.--- Micah powers
