Creation is Inexcusable—Lily Caswell
In Wordsworth’s poem “Lines Composed a Few Miles above Tintern Abbey”, he writes that “Knowing that Nature never did betray / The heart that lord her; ‘tis her privilege… for she can so inform / The mind that is within us, so impress / With quietness and beauty…nor all / The dreary intercourse of daily life, / Shall ever prevail against us, or disturb / Our cheerful faith…” (lines 125-136) I was reminded of Romans 1:20 that says “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” (KJV) We have no excuse seeing creation and not believing in a Higher Creator. Look at every piece of creation and tell me that it all came from nothing.
I commented on Isabelle’s and Samantha’s posts.
" . . .Well you can't see the wind / but it moves the leaves / from the bottom to the tops / of the tallest trees . . ." This line from Tobymac's "Feel It" certainly sums up my extension to your initial point. Creation has often been debated over for its nature, origin, etc., but none can deny that creation does indeed exist. If a painting screams of an artist, if a song screams of a songwriter, then a perfectly designed universe has to point to a designer. Whether we choose to believe it or not, a creator does still exist. It sometimes fills me with wonder as to just how much power one needs to simply generate something complex (car, subway power, etc.) from natural resources, which just makes it all the more awesome that God did all of this without prior help or blueprint.
