EXTRA CREDIT Alphabet of Soldiers / Josh Naqvi
The Alphabet of Soldiers lecture and music performance was both moving and saddening. It was fascinating to learn about the life of Kyrstyna Zywulksa. Her attitude during her time in Auschwitz was inspiring. She used music and poetry to inspire and encourage those around her. Being able to experience her music first hand allowed me to feel a bit of her pain. It was extremely depressing at times, but it also left an appreciation for freedom within me and those in the audience. I am glad I went and experienced this lecture/concert. It gave me a chance to hear about a woman who pushed through her present hardships with music and song and who inspired countless individuals to stand for freedom until the end.
